LID Object
From LID Wiki
An object identified by one or more LID URLs.
LID Object is similar to what HTTP calls Resource ([RFC 2616]), as long as there is only one representation of the LID Object. If there is more than one representation (e.g. an XML representation and an HTML representation), then several HTTP Resources may correspond to the same LID Object. Therefore the term LID Object is more conceptual in nature than what HTTP calls Resource.
Which representation of the LID Object is desired in a query may be specified using the LID 2.0 Format Negotiation Service,
