The NetMesh LID Perl Script

In December 2004, NetMesh released the so-called "NetMesh LID Perl Script", which was a single-file, extremely simple implementation of LID 1.0 in Perl whose purpose was to demonstrate LID to the Perl-savvy technologist.

Since, LID has been improved and extended dramatically, and more mature implementations have been developed. Thus, the "NetMesh LID Perl Script" is now only of historical interest. It still runs, in various versions, at places such as http://lid.netmesh.org/liddemouser/ but will be replaced there as soon as time permits.

You can still download the "NetMesh LID Perl Script" from http://netmesh.org/downloads/#historical on the NetMesh Developer's Website.

When LID 2.0 is ready to roll out, you will see a notice here and notices elsewhere in this Wiki and at lid.netmesh.org.

This script, only useful in conjunction with the NetMesh-LID-Perl-Script, is now obsolete and has been removed. If you have arrived at this page because a site sent you to this obsolete URL, please ask the referring site to remove the link and update their scripts if they have not already done so.
